The Great Treasure Hunt

Recently discovered that we have a very very very rare Saturday Evening Post Lithograph.  The Litho is of a December 25, 1920 Cover issue that we believe was never issued.  The painting was done by the famous J.C. Leyendecker who inspired Norman Rockwells paintings.

We have plans on visiting the publishing company soon for more information on this item and potential worth and provenance.  Stay tuned as we will update with pictures and progress.

We did contact the Saturday Evening Post, and spoke with their historian/curator. The portrait was used as cover for the December 25th 1920 issue and our lithograph was the first and ONLY edition of this coveted cover ever issued in limited print.

recently we were contacted by an owner of a second litho! We were very excited to find this other litho as of the date of my blog we suspect only 24 were printed and we now know the location of 2. We have had no luck trying to track down the original artwork. The Saturday Eve post does not have it and we've contacted several museums known to have Leyendecker and Rockwell pieces and none can verify the whereabouts of this item. The search goes on
